I am Xutao Sun, currently working as a Lecturer of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Waikato, New Zealand. My research focuses on Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) using vibration-based methods. My broader interests include Mechanical and Structural Engineering, the Finite Element Method (FEM), and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).

This website serves as a repository of ANSYS and SOLIDWORKS case studies that I have developed or collected throughout my studies and research. It also includes technical notes and observations I found valuable along the way. I am particularly fascinated by the flexibility and customizability of ANSYS Mechanical APDL, so most of the case studies here are developed using APDL.
